Brief closure of Moonee Ponds Creek Trail

Update; The works and closure outlined in this article have been postponed until Tuesday 20 June.

The Moonee Ponds Creek Trail between Dynon Road and Footscray Road in West Melbourne will be closed for scaffolding works on Monday 19 June, from 8am to 2pm.

West Gate Tunnel contractors will lift scaffolding over the trail during the seven-hour closure.

Riders who commute along the route on Monday are advised to complete their journeys before 8am.

During the closure period, the Footscray Road trail will be open (after having been closed during the weekend).

And the detour via Lloyd Street and Arden Street is also available.

If bad weather on Monday delays the works, Tuesday is set aside as a contingency.
