Bicycle Network is calling for candidates to nominate to join our Board.
Collectively the Board of Bicycle Network Incorporated has two high-level responsibilities:
1) Insight and foresight
The Board ensures that Bicycle Network is equipped to respond to the changing
circumstances and situations in the external and internal environments in order to achieve its mission to promote the health of the community through the prevention and control of disease by more people riding bikes more often.
2) Oversight
The Board is the ultimate authority in Bicycle Network and each member of the Board is responsible for Bicycle Network’s controls. These responsibilities are substantial and include law, regulations, and internal controls as well as organisational liability and risk management.
2023 Nominations
Candidates
The Board seeks the nomination of candidates for election with demonstrated skills and relevant experience to these responsibilities.
Under our Constitution there are two positions vacant, which are required to be filled.
Deadlines
- Nominations open Monday 7 August 2023.
- Complete and valid Online Nomination Applications must be received by
5pm AEST Wednesday 6, September 2023.
To be eligible to stand for election, nominate and vote in the Board election, candidates must be financial members of Bicycle Network, 18 years or older, and have been a member for a continuous period of at least the last nine months by the closing date of nominations.
