Get ready for Ride2School Day

National Ride2School Day is fast approaching, but there is still plenty of time to make sure you’re registered and ready to roll on Friday 22 March.

Bicycle Network’s Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel, and one of the best days on the school calendar, encouraging students all around the country to discover the joy of riding and build healthy habits for the future.

More than 870 schools and 360,000 students participated in Ride2School Day 2023. In Victoria, a record-breaking 500 schools got involved.

Only a quarter of children in Australia walk or ride to school, a significant decline from the three quarters that did so in the 1970s.

Getting into the spirit of Ride2School day is a great way to contribute to the reversal of this trend. You can find out more and register here.

Another way to help is to donate to our Bicycle Network’s Ride2School program, which you can find out more about here.
