SRL starts structure planning phase
Suburban Rail Loop authorities have  begun the long and detailed process of land use planning for the precincts around the rail stations proposed for the south-eastern suburbs.
The plans will see a total remake of town and transport precincts in Box Hill, Clayton, Monash, Glen Waverley Burwood and Cheltenham.
They will indicate the locations of housing, shops, roads, and the location of the bike paths and footpaths.
To kick this process off the SRL is again seeking feedback from the public: https://www.srleastvisions.com.au/

You can check the draft key directions for each precinct on the consultation page and take a quick survey.

SRL previously sought community views on the broader vision for each precinct, but now wants input into the draft “key directions” for each of the six precincts.
"Key directions seek to address current challenges within a neighbourhood to open up more opportunities for growth and realise the vision for that area,” says the SRL webpage.
"For example, a challenge might be a road that tends to have busy traffic, making it harder for the community to cross the road and access a variety of activity centres. The key direction will list potential improvements to that road which allow better pedestrian or public transport connections between the activity centres.”
