Join Bicycle Network’s workshop open day

Bicycle Network is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our workshop team.

We have a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers who gather weekly at our Sunshine workshop to maintain, build and control our event and program equipment. If you are a self-motivated, team-orientated and enthusiastic person who is keen to contribute their skills or learn a new one – this is the role for you. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life and with varying levels of experience.

To give you a glimpse of what we do and how you can be part of it, please come along to an Open Day on Wednesday 14 August, from 9am to 11am in Sunshine North.

Hear from a long-time workshop volunteer

Rob Priestley, a dedicated volunteer of almost 25 years, will share his thoughts on becoming a Bicycle Network volunteer:

"If you want to help with the bigger picture of bike events, mainly maintenance and gear preparation for upcoming events, then come out on a Wednesday to see what we do. Volunteering here can be a significant new learning experience, including gaining qualifications that can be applied elsewhere in life. Don't think that you have to come with lots of applicable skills; you can learn on the job, during events, and even get formal training where desired, such as a Test & Tag ticket, truck license, and more," says Rob.
