Albert Park charges up for the Bicycle Network E-bike Expo

Thousands are expected to flock to the lakeside in Albert Park for Bicycle Network’s E-bike Expo next weekend, where they’ll have the unique opportunity to test ride a range of makes and models in one stunning location.

The free community event on Saturday 5 October will feature e-bikes of all shapes and sizes – from sleek commuters for cutting through the city, to compact folding bikes you can stash in a cupboard, to capable cargo-haulers for bringing groceries home from the shops.

All will be available for e-bike curious folk to take for a spin on a safe and secure test track, to see how it feels with that extra zip in their legs and the wind in their hair.

Other attractions on the day include entertainment, food trucks, coffee vans, a bar, competitions, giveaways and cherry picker rides.

E-bikes are sweeping the country as replacements for second cars, and by offering the chance to talk to the experts and test the full spectrum of makes and models, the E-bike Expo is the best place to see what all the fuss is about.

The event follows the huge success of Bicycle Network’s E-bike Expo at the Brunswick Velodrome in April, where more than 3000 people came to experience an e-bike for themselves. Check out all the action in the video below.

By again gathering the sweetest rides in town in a fun and family-friendly setting, the upcoming E-bike Expo at Albert Park is not one to miss if you’re curious about e-bikes, passionate about clean transport, or are simply looking for a wonderful new way to get around town.
