The free BBQ is being held from 10.30am until noon at the playground next to the Somerset Surf Club. Check out our social rides article for details on a group ride to the celebration.

St Johns planning continues

The Tasmanian Government is continuing with its master-planning process of the St Johns property in New Town with a final plan due in mid 2025.

The government has appointed a master planner for the site who will detail how open space, amenity and public access can be upgraded and include principles for future landscaping and traffic management.

Bicycle Network made a submission to the draft plan, calling on the government to use the redevelopment to connect paths through Lenah Valley and New Town.
