Metro Tunnel crews have returned to Swanston Street to continue removal of the tower cranes at the Town Hall Station site.
While the southbound footpath will again be closed, along with the tram stop, the bike lane will continue to operate, but with intermittent closures.
If riders encounter an intermittent closure, turn left or right on Collins Street to take another route south. Riders are not permitted on the tram tracks.
The Town Hall Station is moving towards the final phase of construction, including works on the station entrances, fit-out of the underground station and reinstatement of public space.
As the cranes and supporting structures are removed works will start to reinstate footpaths, starting with Collins Street, which requires the closure of the southern footpath for a month.
Crane removals will be underway until April and there will be some day and night closures of Flinders Lane at the City Square site entrance to allow for tower crane load out.
