Whitehall path night closure

There will be a two-night closure of the Whitehall Street shared user path next week while services works are underway adjacent to the West Gate Tunnel construction site at the northern tunnel portal in Footscray/Yarraville.

The path between Youell Street and Somerville Road will be closed on Tuesday 8 July and Wednesday 9 July 2025 between 8pm and 5am.

Riders will detour via Hyde Street, Parker Street and Moreland Road, the route that has been used frequently during times that project works have closed the route.

Those riders who sometimes choose to use the Whitehall Street roadway should note that the parking lane alongside the path will also be closed during these works.
