Gipps Street on track for completion
The long-awaited new trail connection to the Yarra River at Gipps Street in Abbotsford is on track for completion in December.

The installation of the pedestrian stair and maintenance access stair has been completed, and the final section of the ramp is now under construction with piling and foundations work well underway.

The upgrade of drainage, including pits and pipes, on the south side of Collins Bridge is also finished while minor works to caulk the floor panels and install the handrail are continuing.

The planting, including native shrubs and tufting plants, on the north side of Collins Bridge is completed.

As part of the project, solar lighting has now been added to the Collins Bridge.

There is more planting planned for the south side of the bridge.
