Great Vic enters fifth decade in style
The TAC Great Victorian Bike Ride returned from 24–28 November 2025 for its 41st iteration, guiding riders along the scenic Great Ocean Road.

Around 2,000 riders, volunteers, staff and event personnel of all ages set out to explore and camp in some of regional Victoria's lushest landscapes.

The ride featured stops in Mortlake, Koroit, Port Campbell and Camperdown and took riders along the stunning Great Ocean Road and past the 12 Apostles.

Throughout, and supported by 250 volunteers and Bicycle Network staff, riders enjoyed hot food, live entertainment, a healthy mix of light rain and sunshine and all the good vibes and new connections the Great Vic is known for.

Particular highlights included the famous Great Vic talent show, featuring everything from a ukelele singalong to a circus duo, and a visit from former pro-cyclist Simon Gerrans, whose son was riding the event as a school student. He is photographed below with Bicycle Network CEO Alison McCormack and Board President James Garriock.
This year's participants enjoyed a fresh new five-day format, aimed at making the event more accessible for more riders.

The Great Victorian Bike Ride will return in this five-day format in 2026, with tickets already available for purchase.

The 2026 ride, which will take place from 30 November to 4 December, will take riders through the Victorian Goldfields, visiting Bendigo, Castlemaine, Trentham and Creswick.
