Update
The girl appeared in a Victorian children's court on Monday 13 April seeking bail, which she was denied.
Police had been able to go through the girl’s phone, where they found some “troubling” content, including videos.
Within three minutes of hitting a bike rider with a stolen SUV, the girl had Googled how long the sentence is for running someone over, Det Sen Const Jarryd Grey told the court on Monday.
“It’s quite troubling … we realised it’s premeditated," he said.
The girl was invested in how many news articles and likes on social media coverage of her alleged offending generated, he added.
The magistrate denied the girl bail as the "risk to the community is overwhelming".
The girl remains in detention and will appear again in court on 4 May.

Three teenage girls have been charged with a string of offences including filming themselves running down a bike rider on Beach Road in Brighton on Monday evening.
Police allege that a 13-year-old female driver from Bayside was behind the wheel of a stolen silver SUV when an attempt was made to hit a bike with the passenger door about 6.50pm.
The SUV then crashed into the rear of the bike.
The cyclist, a 45-year-old Brighton man, and Bicycle Network member, had his helmet smashed, suffering minor head injuries, but luckily nothing worse.
The vehicle fled the scene.
Bicycle Network understands that footage of the incident was uploaded to TikTok.
Police will allege the driver was also involved in several other incidents involving erratic driving in stolen cars.

Detectives will allege a group of teenagers were later travelling in a stolen white Volkswagen Golf, when it rammed an e-scooter in Elwood just after midnight on 31 March.
Two victims were travelling on an e-scooter in the bike lane on Mitford Street when the Golf allegedly rammed the back of it about 12.10am.
Both riders fell from the e-scooter as it crashed into a parked vehicle. They did not require medical attention.
One of the victims and a passerby began filming the offending vehicle, before one of the teenagers allegedly threatened them.
The Volkswagen, which was allegedly stolen from a gym in Burwood on 30 March, fled the scene.
A short time later, police spotted the Golf on Beach Road in Black Rock about 12.30am.
The car allegedly drove over a footpath and took off at speed on the Nepean Highway, before travelling on the Dingley Bypass, the EastLink, Princes Highway and the Monash Freeway.
Police successfully deployed stop sticks on Dandenong Road in East Malvern, before the car came to a stop on Waverley Road.
The three female occupants were arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
They have also been charged with incidents that occurred the previous week, including antisemitic behaviour and erratic driving towards members of the Jewish community in Ripponlea last Wednesday and again on Saturday.
Families crossing the road at the intersection of Hotham Street and Glen Eira Road narrowly escaped being struck by the car.
Investigations into the series of incidents remains ongoing.
