The City of Boroondara is developing a new Integrated Transport Plan to improve travel and access over the next 10 years. It wants riders to help.
It has opened
public consultation to determine the transport priorities needed as our suburbs grow and densify in the wake of rapid population growth and acceleration of housing development.
You have until 5 May 2026 to have your say by taking a survey that asks about how you get around and why you choose your modes of travel, how the city can encourage active travel and how local roads can be made safer.
You can also use the online map to suggested placed for improvement.
The new Boroondara Strategy will include:
- advocacy: prioritise advocacy to the Victorian Government for arterial roads and public transport, including trains, trams and buses
- cars and parking: plan management of car travel and on-street parking effectively into the future
- walk, run and ride: improve opportunities for active transport such as walking, running and riding, which ties closely with the Greenways Plan
- traffic: introduce measures to better manage traffic, public transport, cycling and walking on congested roads and in our activity centres
- alternatives: promote safe, sustainable and secure alternative forms of travel to the car and increase the attractiveness of these options.
